Charles Vernon Boys invented fiber glass in 1887. Today, we use fiberglass in boats, windmills, sports equipment, home insulation, and much MUCH more!
Fiberglass is also used in communication. We use the material in telephone and internet cables that allow us to communicate with people all over the world.
